There’s Always Another Podcast

We've finished the first part of our final book in the trilogy! We're properly into the swing of things now - some good doses of Kandra lore, predictions aplenty, and the promise of Spook showing up soon (hey, Beth and I like Spook at least).

Today's description will be a short list of out-of-context phrases from this week's episode. Be ready for them, and see if they make any more sense in-context.

So it's the first episode of a new book and that means all sorts of exciting things, but I'm gonna be honest with y'all - we were significantly distracted by some very strange audio issues during our recording. It all worked out in the edit, but yeah - imagine trying to break down all the terrible things happening to the world of Scadrial while half the cast sounds like they're on helium. Good times!

Look at that - we found our way here once again. Always Another Podcast returns for the thrilling conclusion to the Mistborn trilogy! As in the last book, we recorded an episode of some pre-book discussion to see where we sit coming in. Make sure you give this one a listen for the first competition in the Lede-Burying Championship.

And there it is - the Well of Ascension, in this book "The Well of Ascension". We discover some payoffs to recent predictions, and are left with a surprising number of questions at the end of this book. Tune in and listen to hear our thoughts on how this all wraps up, and where we're headed next (it's Hero of Ages - we're heading there next.)

Well, here it is - the Battle of Luthadel. It's an emotional time all around, with highs and lows (and deaths that nobody saw coming). But that's it, right? The city has been saved, Elend is in charge, the armies are gone, the Well of Ascension has been-- wait, what's that last one? I'm sure it's nothing.

Wow, there's a lot of book left in this book, huh? Today, we're starting Part 5 - and we have some brand-new questions that seem pretty darn important for only having two episodes left!

TenSoon! That's it. That's the episode. It's the one where Beth and I are allowed to say TenSoon. Also, y'know, a bunch of stuff with Zane.

In today's episode, I try to buy a new domain name, live on-recording. Also, Vin goes through some heavy emotional stuff. These two topics are both equally important.

Editor's note: we've been trying to stamp out some audio issues that have been cropping up - there's some crackling in the tail end of this episode. By next week, we should have a better handle on it.

Thus concludes Part 3, "King", in which Elend is not king. Nor is anyone else, for that matter. Stay tuned for Part 4, "Knives", where we find out if anyone is a knife.
