There’s Always Another Podcast

I heard Shallan is up to some interesting events in these chapters - it had better not involve another secret society on Roshar. Meanwhile Kaladin has some tough questions to puzzle over - things like "is it bad that I think my friend is trying to assassinate the man I've sworn to protect?"

Alright, now that we've taken several breaths (but not Breaths) after last week's chaos - it's time to get started with Part 3 here in Words of Radiance. Shallan has made it to the Shattered Plains! That means she'll get an actual chance to interact with some of the characters we've been following over here, and I'm sure it'll go fantastically.

This feels a little bit early for a Sanderlanche but hoo boy does it feel like we might have just read one. Ominous pronouncements from divine forces, crazy magic-powered fights, and someone takes a Shardblade to the chest. And that's just with Kaladin - we still need to check on Shallan as w-- wait really? The Shardblade-murder? Huh.

You. Listener there. We demand your boots. In exchange for this brand-new episode, Always Another Podcast is entitled to your boots. No, we can't practically use that many. No, they probably won't fit. Boots.

It's always a good time when some of our main characters who spent a whole book mostly separate now get to spend some quality time together, right? I'm sure Kaladin and Adolin will have no problems whatsoever between the two of them. Also, we meet the one decent-sounding member of the Davar family! Wonder what's going to happen to him...

Happy winter holidays from all of us here at Always Another Podcast! Hopefully everyone has had good time to curl up with a book and not come up for several hours. I certainly did - and that means I got to talk about it. Today's episode, I dove into my thoughts about Wind and Truth - it's been a hell of a ride through these first five Stormlight books, and (as this podcast shows) the only logical thing to do is to discuss them at-length with other Sanderson fans. We'll be back next week with more Words of Radiance with the full team!

Time for another whirlwind tour around Roshar - this time featuring a neat little slice-of-life story (ignore the part where he gets stabbed at the end), a fun travelogue of the weirder parts of the world (ignore the part where she might be paralyzed), and a look at what the "other side" is up to (don't ignore anything here - it's just cool)

One hundred episodes. Thank you so much to all our listeners who have joined us on this journey. Last I checked, the Cosmere doesn't show any signs of slowing down, so neither will we. Onward we go - in this week, to end in imminent peril!
